As you look through the pages of most local property newspapers and portals, all you generally see is pictures of properties. As you turn from page to page or website to website, the only discernible difference between letting agents is usually their corporate colour scheme, which does not tell you a great deal about who they are, what they stand for, or what it would be like to work with them.
Additionally, most readers are not actually thinking of investing, although many people do have an ongoing interest in the local property market, especially those who hold a portfolio of rental properties.
So, from next week, we will be publishing weekly articles that look at the lettings-related issues of the day, in addition to those properties we advertise for rent. These will include opinion, commentary and advice on the wider issues of property rentals, with advice to landlord and tenant alike.
After all, there is so much more to property than finding a tenant, or a place to live. Yet few lettings agents offer anything remotely associated with asset management or tenant property lifestyle.
We see our role as a welcome link between landlord and tenant. So whilst many of our articles will offer advice on how landlords can maximise their returns, we will also consider other aspects of lettings, including legal, taxation, seasonal issues and the lettings market in general, alongside tenant advisory pieces.
We hope you find the articles we publish here over the coming weeks and months interesting, informative and relevant. And, if there is a lettings-related topic you would like to see on our blog, please let us know and we’ll rise to the challenge.
